Paste the key in Settings → BYOK, click Save keys, and wait for Connected (or Saved for keys that are not probed from the browser).

How to get the key

  1. Create a CoinGecko account and open the API dashboard.
  2. Subscribe to Demo or a paid plan that includes an API key.
  3. Copy the key shown in the dashboard (starts with CG-).
  4. Paste it into the CoinGecko API key field in Settings → BYOK and save.

Third-party API terms, quotas, and pricing change over time; confirm current limits on each provider's site before production use.
